Unikraft took part in Technology Ventures Rhein-Neckar’s investor Speed-Dating event this april. The event, organised in cooperation with MAFINEX Gründerverbund, Heidelberg Startup Partners e.V., and ADTELLIGENCE GmbH saw 19 startups meet 20 investors for an intensive elevator pitch day. Exciting news! NEC Laboratories Europe is currently running a proof of concept program for Unikraft. Therefore, we’re seeking companies that base their business on public cloud infrastructure and would be willing to try and implement Unikraft technology to improve cloud server efficiencies.
A novel modular unikernel allows for extreme tailoring of your operating system to your application’s needs. A proof of concept, built on Unikraft, a Xen Project subproject, shows up to 50% efficiency improvements than standard Linux on AWS EC2.
